Testing :: Here are just a few science links on this site:
The Public Library of Science (PLoS). PLoS is a non-profit organization of scientists and physicians committed to making the world’s scientific and medical literature a freely available public resource. PLoS uses the least restrictive Creative Commons license, granting the public a wide range of uses in exchange for authorial credit.
MIT Open Courseware. The world-renowned Massachusetts Institute of Technology makes the materials of over two dozen of its courses available under a Creative Commons license from its website. The project will soon include dozens more and has already inspired a Vietnamese counterpart project that makes its materials available under a translated Creative Commons license.
The Connexions Project. Connexions (based at Rice University, in Houston), is an experimental, open-source educational technology project that enhances teaching and learning by facilitating collaborative development of educational content. From a central knowledge repository, free for a wide variety of uses, instructors, researches, and students can build modular course materials, web sites, and texts. The Connexions technology is available for us by universities across the world.
Light and Matter. Anyone may freely download the Light and Matter series of introductory physics textbooks, by educator Benjamin Crowell. Crowell explains why he makes his books available for free under a Creative Commons license, encourages the reporting of errors and the sharing of problem sets, and which schools and colleges have adopted the titles so far.
